Our rehearsals are on Sundays from 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm, and we draw members from all residential colleges, not just Davenport. Our members also study all majors, from English to Biomedical Engineering, so you certainly don’t need to be a music major to audition!

AV Team

What is the AV team?

Established in 2015, the AV Team has grown to become an integral part of DPops. The team is responsible for operating AV equipment during concerts, editing footage, and producing exciting promotional videos!

How much experience do I need?

We welcome all different levels of experience. Members of the team are all eager to learn from each other. Whether you’ve produced your own music video before or have only taken snapchats on your phone, we welcome you!

Can I be in both the Orchestra and AV Team?

Yes!

Will I be a full DPops member?

Yes. All members of the AV team are considered DPops members – you will be recognized on our website and concert programs, proudly wear DPops swag, and be invited to all our legendary social events!

This sounds great. How do I join?

Use the form here or email our AV team directors Michael (michael.h.lee@yale.edu) and Jeremy (jeremy.ng@yale.edu)

Music Directors

The music direction of DPops consists of a Head Conductor, a Head Arranger, and an Assistant Conductor. Any Yale College student may audition for conductor in April of each year, but due to DPops’ unique music style and culture, conductors have traditionally been drawn from the ranks of the orchestra. The Head Arranger is elected as a board position and must be a member of the orchestra to run.
